Review of 17 HM2 barrel for CZ 455 Saturday, September 12, 2026 Reviewer: Eric from Sherwood, OR United States   My review covers two categories:  Customer Service and Product Quality. Customer Service - Communication was prompt and when there was an issue, it was resolved quickly and to my satisfaction. Product Quality - The first barrel I received had an issue with the liner protruding 0.012" from the breach face of the barrel.  Also, the step was too high and wouldn't clear the magazine guide and so the barrel couldn't be installed.  Louis took the barrel back and replaced it with another one.  The 2nd barrel didn't have these issues and the dimensions were within a couple thousandths of the original CZ barrel it was replacing.  After installation, it feeds and extracts perfectly.  Accuracy is very good and I'm hoping it will only get better with some break in time.  It prefers the Hornady 17 gr. V-Max ammo.  I like that the OD of the barrel is larger than a CZ varmint barrel, but much lighter making the rifle balance nicely with a suppressor installed. Was this review helpful to you?

.17 HM2 fan meets great barrel Thursday, October 30, 2025 Reviewer: Norman Peck from Ellensburg, WA United States   Taking advantage of the interchangeable barrel capability of the CZ 455 by adding a .17HM2 barrel is a great upgrade from the Savage in that caliber.  It's quiet and very effective for pests and rodents, and though not as popular as it's larger cousin, I find it more accurate up to 100 yds. plus.  The barrel looks great, and shipped very quickly.  I'm pleased. CZ 455 17 MACH2 20" Tuesday, April 17, 2018 Reviewer: Bobbie Gordon from Chesapeake, VA United States   Was hoping for dime size groups at 50 yards, I get them some of the time, but trying to tune to improve consistency.  Have found the first shot from clean barrel is a flyer far from the group, low and to the right.  Shot shells look good, no splits or bulges.  Hope to get improvement with use and tuning.  Looks of barrel are good, very light weight. Suggest barrel be marked with 17 mach 2 marking.  Money well spent! Was this review helpful to you?
